Hi, my name is Jordyn, and I’m a mom doing everything I can to hold our little family together. I never imagined I would be in a position to ask for help like this, but right now I’m just trying to save a life that means everything to my son, Layton, and to me.

We brought Fefe into our home three months ago when she was only 12 weeks old and she quickly became part of our family. She isn’t “just a cat” — she is my son’s best friend. They are inseparable. She follows him everywhere, sleeps beside him, and brings so much comfort and happiness into our home.

This accident was sudden and completely unexpected. She chewed on an electrical cord, and within moments our world turned upside down. Watching her in pain and not being able to fix it instantly has been heartbreaking.

The electrocution caused severe burns to her tongue and the inside of her mouth. The damage is so serious that she cannot eat on her own and will need a feeding tube placed in order to survive and heal. On top of that, the veterinarian is hearing crackling in her lungs — something that can happen after electrical injuries and can worsen quickly and unpredictably. We’ve been told this can go downhill fast.

We are doing everything we can to get her the urgent medical care she needs, but the emergency costs are overwhelming. Managing this on my own while trying to stay strong for my son has been incredibly difficult. I am asking for help because I refuse to give up on her. She deserves a chance to heal.
