THANK YOU!
I've been developing this work as a creative process and me as a creative person all year and I thank everyone who has supported this endeavour so far. I'm learning so much and I couldn't have done it without you!
These are songs about love, loss and the human condition. I intend to share them freely, my outcome is not fame and fortune but offering comfort and peace, and maybe some dancing to those who choose to listen (there is one disco banger forming!).
I want this music to spread light and love and lift spirits, even if dealing with some darker issues. The funds will be used to pay for the studio and the musician's time (super important). Every song is different, but each one has cost on average around £500 to record if accounting for studio time, musicianship, mixing and mastering.
My story:
I’ve been writing and performing original music since I was a teenager. I recorded one EP way back in 2012. It wasn’t released until 2014 because I had to go through a whole surviving cancer thing - that was an ordeal. But it also shaped me.
I’m now determined to share my music more widely than at gigs in London so recording is the way.
Developing songs is a full-time job and I’ve given up a lot in the name of choosing to focus on what I feel is my calling. If I've learnt anything in the last ten years, it's that 'it's now or never'. May this story inspire you to do that same. Live your biggest dream and shine your absolute brightest!
ABOUT FEEB & THE QUEEN
People ask me ‘who's the queen’. It’s the music: the call to write, to play, to practice, to perform, to watch, to listen. Why as humans do we need entertainment and the arts? I like to quote the late great Robin Williams:
‘No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world’.
