My name is Fawn, and I am a mother who has always worked hard to support my children and our home. I recently received devastating news. I have been diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in two areas of my right breast. The cancer has also spread to at least one lymph node. I am now facing surgery and possibly chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments depending on further testing. Because of this diagnosis and the toll it is taking on my body, I can no longer continue working two jobs, and I may need to stop working during treatment. At the same time, I am caring for my daughter, who lives with Crohn’s disease and endometriosis. She has ongoing medical needs, appointments, and treatment of her own. We are now facing overwhelming medical expenses, loss of income, and the daily costs of maintaining housing, food, transportation, and insurance during this crisis.
