Owls Hockey Needs Your Support !

Did you know that Florida Atlantic University (FAU) has an Ice Hockey Club Team? The team is comprised of FAU student-athletes all over the USA, Canada, and even South America. The team competes in Division 2 of AAU College Hockey, and is a member of the College Hockey South Conference. The OWLS compete against schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, USF, UCF, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina and others.

 

Since it is a "non-varsity" team, the University provides very limited funding. The players have to cover nearly all expenses related to team operations, uniforms, equipment, rink time, travel, referees, etc., approximately $3,500 per player for the season. Frankly, the team cannot exist without the financial support of the local community, alumni, and our fans...and we are very thankful for your support!

This season, the team has earned a # 1 ranking and a spot in the AAU National Championship tournament to be held in Westchester, Pennsylvania from March 8th to March 13th, 2024. The travel costs for the team to attend the tournament will top $30,000 in air fair, hotel, transfers, team meals, etc. The vast majority of these expenses will be paid for by the team members. We are asking you to consider making a donation to help us with travel expenses to the National Tournament this year. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
