Hi, my name is Fatuma and I am asking for any and everyone’s help. My mother has been suffering with multiple medical conditions for over 13 years. No matter how sick she has been, she has continued to push through for not only herself but her family most of all. She has been in and out of hospitals without receiving the right answers on why she is very sick. About a year or two ago, her doctors informed her that she will need a lung transplant. She turned it down due to her worrying about the expenses for the transplant, the process, the risk and how life-changing it’ll be for her. Since then, every day my mother has been in the hospital for not only days at a time but months with still no answers. Watching my siblings hurting to see that our mother has to go to the hospital again due to her not being able to breathe on her own or to just be able “to live her life regularly,” as she will say, has put me in the worst mental state. After many years of trying different medications, treatments and surgeries, her only chance of living a normal life is to get a lung transplant..
