Support Fat's Memorial and the Lockett Family

Ronald "Fat" Rene Lockett tragically left us on Wednesday, March 19th. To know him was to love him - especially his infectious passion for music. With 30+ years of music experience, he dedicated his life to spreading joy and teaching the next generation of New Orleans brass band musicians. Marching was his mission, especially with New Creations Brass Band, which he co-founded with his brothers and friends, Royce Lockett and Thomas Watson. Whether teaching free music lessons or donating instruments to young New Orleans musicians in need, Fat embodied the spirit of kindness and generosity.

Unfortunately, his profession did not afford him the opportunity for life insurance. We are humbly requesting assistance to give Ronald the farewell he so richly deserves - we need your help to make this possible. We are reaching out to our wonderful community and loved ones for support in covering funeral costs. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to alleviate this burden to properly allow us to honor Fat's life in a way that reflects the joy and love he brought to others.
