Support Fatima's Journey to Columbia University

Donation protected

I'm Fatima Zahra Taghlaoui, born in the Moroccan Sahara to illiterate, nomadic parents who could not imagine, let alone support, a dream like mine. In a world where girls were expected to marry young and remain silent, I saw a different path flickering on movie screens – one where women choose their futures.

I want to tell stories – the powerful, untold narratives of my Amazigh heritage. I've fought every step of the way, pouring my soul into my film studies, driven by a deep need to bring authentic voices to the screen.

Now, a miracle: I’ve been accepted into the prestigious MFA Creative Producing program at Columbia University. This is more than just a school; it's a chance to gain the skills, the knowledge, and a platform to share stories that deserve to be heard, to truly represent my culture and inspire others who face similar barriers.

But this crucial next step in my journey comes with a daunting financial burden. Tuition and living expenses threaten to close the door that I have fought so hard to open.

I am reaching out to you for help. Your support, no matter how small, is not just funding an education. It's helping me write the next chapter of a story that began against all odds.

Thank you for seeing me, and for helping me seize this chance.
