Hello, my name is Niayahna, the eldest of the Great 8. I’m reaching out to ask for your help in supporting my mom, stepdad, and three younger siblings as they face an unimaginable situation.
In 2022, after working tirelessly to rebuild her life, my mom finally found what seemed like the perfect home on Millionaires Row in Williamsport, PA. She moved in with hope and filled the apartment with love, laughter, and a future. She adopted cats, guinea pigs, and rabbits, creating a warm and nurturing environment for my siblings. The cabinets were stocked with food, the playroom was filled with toys, and the yard echoed with the sounds of kids playing basketball and riding bikes.
This was their safe place—a place my siblings could call home.
But on the morning of February 13th, everything changed.
After a regular evening of dinner and bedtime preparations, my mom went to work, as she always does, to provide for her family. When she returned home at 5 a.m., she sat down in the kitchen with my stepdad and two of my siblings, unwinding and sharing stories. My youngest brother was fast asleep on the couch, wrapped in his blanket, dreaming as children should.
Then it happened.
They heard noises—scratching, cracking—sounds they thought were just a bat or a squirrel. But the noises grew louder. Suddenly, the walls began to crack. Bricks started to fall. In a panic, they ran in every direction, desperately trying to find safety.
When the dust settled, they found my youngest brother, still on the couch, trembling with fear under his blanket. By some miracle, the bricks hadn’t fallen on him. They were all shaken but safe.
Their home, however, was no longer safe.
Now, my family is displaced—five people and three beloved cats with no access to their clothes, food, or belongings. Everything they had built was taken from them in an instant.
We are humbly asking for your help. We need donations to cover moving expenses, new furniture, clothing, and food as they try to rebuild their lives once again.
If you’re able to contribute, any amount would make a difference. If you prefer to send clothing or other essentials, please reach out to me on Facebook (Yanaa Gee) or my mom (Fatima Iamme Neff). I am also setting up an Amazon wishlist to make it easier for those who wish to help. My Moms Cash App Is $M2BGreat8
