My name is Patrick Augman, and I am reaching out to you today under the most difficult circumstances of my life. A few days ago, a devastating house fire ripped through our home in New Orleans, Louisiana, taking with it every single possession my son and I owned.

We made it out safely—and for that, we are eternally grateful—but we are now faced with the daunting reality of starting completely over with nothing but the clothes on our backs. The fire didn't just take furniture and electronics; it took a lifetime of memories. It took my son's favorite games, the photo albums we can never replace, our daily essentials, school supplies, clothes, and the sense of security that comes with having a place to call home. Everything we built together as a small family unit is gone.

We are currently staying in temporary housing, trying to process the shock and figure out the next steps. The emotional toll is immense, but the immediate practical needs are pressing.
