Fashion For All Foundation is a non profit organization with a mission to promote equality and diversity through education and empowerment in the fashion industry.
Started by Ali Richmond and Hannah Stoudemire and based in New York City, we are two passionate individuals who desire to see the change in the fashion industry; we are also committed and willing to do the work required.
We believe that every talented and qualified person from any background deserves the opportunity to work in all aspects of the fashion industry no matter their size, race, religion, physical ability or economic status.
At Fashion For All Foundation we place a huge emphasis on education. It is because of this that we've created a six week summer intensive program for students ages 12 - 23 years old. During the Summer Intensive Program we teach our students about the various roles in the industry, we host weekly workshops that build invaluable skills, we take learning trips to designer showrooms, corporate office visits/tours, retail spaces and provide access to established creatives in senior positions in the fashion industry in New York City.
Our students are taught fashion history, the business side of fashion, and fashion and art appreciation. They also receive lessons in the art of networking, personal and professional development, the chance to apply for amazing internships and we provide mentorship matching with fashion industry professionals. This year we are able to offer our 2018 Summer Intensive Class of students the opportunity to travel to Florence, Italy and visit the Gucci Garden and Gucci Museum. This experience is a life changing and once in a lifetime opportunity for our students, because many of our students have never traveled outside of the US.
If you feel this this is a worthy cause to donate to, we will use the funds to purchase airfare, room and board, and food while we’re abroad with the students. Additionally, we will use the funds raised to expand our student center, make renovations, purchase equipment, and fund our upcoming summer program. The Students benefit from all funds raised, while we are making sure we can continue to provide a learning center and rich environment for all students interested in gaining access to one of the most impenetrable industries.
At Fashion For All Foundation, we took a page out of Ralph Waldo Emerson's book, and believe, that once you stretch a person's mind with a new experience, it cannot go back to its original dimensions. This statement is so powerful, because we want to do just that - stretch our students' minds and develop them into successful young professionals.
Our hope is that you who read this and watch our video, will find our cause worthy enough to contribute toward the ongoing work required to continue the programming and operation of Fashion For All Foundation. It is with your resources that we will be able to take our students on the trip to Florence, Italy this Fall. We will also be able to renovate and build out the Student Center at Fashion For All Foundation Headquarters located in Brooklyn, New York. Finally, your support will allow us to continue operating the Foundation full time and expand our Center's hours to benefit any and all students from all backgrounds who finds an interest in Art and Fashion.
