Hi, my name is Farzane. I was born with cerebral palsy.

I have never walked, never played, never danced like other little girls. I’ve never even been in love. I can’t move freely, and even speaking or chewing food is a daily struggle. But my mind is fully aware , sharp, alive, and dreaming.

I see everything. I feel everything. Since childhood, I’ve watched others run, play, grow, and live lives I could only dream of. I was always the one watching from the corner, quietly hurting.

My life has been filled with pain and silence. When I lived in Iran, I suffered deeply ,emotionally, physically, even psychologically. I faced cruelty and abuse in institutions meant to care for children with disabilities. I was punished, mocked, and treated like I didn’t matter. I never had a real childhood. I never had a single truly happy day.

I often wonder what it feels like to hold someone’s hand and walk beside them… not in a dream, but in real life. I wonder what it’s like to go to sleep without pain, to wake up with something to look forward to.

When I was a child, I didn’t ask for much. I just wanted to be treated like a human being ،to be looked at, not through me… but at me.

Today, I live with my older sister who has carried me , literally and emotionally ,for decades. She loves me more than anything, I want to finally live a life that feels like mine.

I want to:

Explore surgeries or therapies that might help me move more freely

Write a book and share my story with the world

Open a small pet hotel ,a dream I’ve carried in my heart for years

And sometimes, my heart longs for something so simple, yet so out of reach for me , a small house with a yard. I dream of lying down on soft green grass, feeling the flowers with my fingertips even if only faintly, listening to the gentle song of the birds above, while my dog runs freely around me. I imagine the two of us laughing together under the warm sun. It may sound like an ordinary moment, but for me, it would be nothing less than a miracle , a small piece of heaven on earth.

I’ve spent years trapped in a body that doesn’t respond, surrounded by people who couldn’t hear the voice trapped inside me.

But through it all, I never gave up dreaming. My dreams kept me alive. And now, for the first time, I feel like maybe ، just maybe ،I don’t have to only dream anymore.
I have always admired Stephen Hawking. For me, he was not just a scientist, but a symbol of hope. Even when his body failed him, his mind soared beyond the stars. He taught the world that you can lose almost everything and still find a way to shine. In my hardest days, when my own body felt like a prison, I would think of him and I would remind myself that life can still have meaning, and dreams can still be reached, even through pain.
All I want is a chance to live life like everyone else: to chase something, to create something, to love, and to be free.

I also carry a deep admiration for Angelina Jolie. To me, she is more than a famous actress ,she is a living symbol of kindness, humanity, and grace. Despite all her fame and responsibilities, she continues to open her heart to people in need, to children, to the forgotten. She proves that true beauty is not only in the face, but in the soul. One of my dreams is to meet her one day, to feel her embrace, and to thank her for showing the world that compassion is a form of strength.

If you are reading this, you are already part of that hope. Even if you can’t donate, your time, your care, your willingness to see me ،really see me ،means everything.
Please help me turn 39 years of silence into a voice that can finally be heard.
I’m not just asking for help. I’m asking for a chance. A chance to turn years of pain into a future with purpose, dignity, and even joy.

Thank you for reading. If you’ve ever felt helpless, invisible, or forgotten ,please know I have too. And your kindness today might be the first light I’ve ever seen at the end of this long, dark tunnel
