About FART

FART - Foster, Adopt, Rescue, Transport - is a one woman, in home, donation based rescue in California’s Central Valley. This place runs on grit, instinct, and the kind of dedication that shows up even when the conditions are far from perfect. We work with limited resources and a whole lot of heart to give animals a chance to be seen and to heal.

Why this fundraiser matters

The yearly cost to operate FART is just under 28,000. That number comes from the basics

• land rent

• utilities

• kibble

These core expenses keep the rescue standing. When they are covered, I can focus on the animals, the medical cases, the behavior work, the transports, and the quiet work of rebuilding trust.

The reality on the ground

This facility is both a blessing and a challenge.

• There is no functioning heat or AC. We are heading into our second winter in a cold house.

• The front yard opens directly onto a busy street and needs proper fencing for safety.

• Pest control is now necessary. The critter situation has reached a point I can no longer manage alone.

• Several repairs require a handyman before they turn into bigger problems.

This is the unglamorous part of rescue. The part that happens behind every story, every intake, every transformation. Your support goes straight into keeping this place safe and workable for the animals who depend on it.
