Hello! My name is Farhan Rashid, and I am currently a Life Scout working toward the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Scouting. For my Eagle Scout Service Project, I am leading the creation of the HIC Community Pantry at the Hillside Islamic Center in New Hyde Park, NY.

This pantry will serve as a vital resource for families in our community, providing consistent access to food and household essentials. My project includes designing and building shelving units, organizing food intake and distribution systems, and coordinating volunteers to ensure the pantry is sustainable long after it opens.

As an Eagle Scout candidate, this project represents more than just service hours — it’s about leadership, responsibility, and making a lasting difference in the lives of others. Every dollar raised will be used directly to purchase the building materials, storage supplies, and food items needed to bring this pantry to life.
