Support Farah’s family from Gaza to safety

About Us
My name is Francesca, writing to you from Italy. Over the past months, I’ve been involved in supporting families in the Gaza Strip, a region that for months now has been in the most complete devastation. I met Farah Albatta, a bright and determined young woman, in May 2024 through a volunteer network. Her resilience in the face of unimaginable hardship inspired me deeply. Hearing her stories about daily survival under constant bombardment, escalating costs of basic goods, and the pain of displacement moved me to take action.
That’s why I created this fundraiser. Every donation will go directly to help Farah’s family with their immediate needs—food, medical supplies, and basic living essentials—and to fund their potential evacuation to safety in Egypt. I will personally ensure that your contributions reach them; and Farah herself is part of the team that will manage this campaign. Thank you for being here and for taking the time to learn about their story.
Meet Farah and Her Family
At just 22 years old, Farah has faced challenges most of us can’t imagine. Once a university student of English translation and a passionate YouTuber, she now finds herself navigating life in a war zone. The conflict has upended her education, her work, and her dreams, leaving her and her family in constant uncertainty.
Her family consists of 10 people. Among them: her mother, a former teacher who has dedicated her entire life to education; her two younger twin brothers, Abdulrahman and Mohamed, who have endured the loss of their best friend when they were only 17; her older brother, Ahmad; and Farah herself, who shoulders much of the emotional burden.

Adding to their struggles, her mother suffers from chronic hypertension, and the lack of access to medication has worsened her condition.
For months, they’ve been displaced from their home, unable to return and living in increasingly dire conditions. Food supplies are scarce, with shelves emptied and fresh products nowhere to be found. Simple tasks, like cooking a meal, now require immense effort—gathering wood to make fires since gas is unavailable. They’ve been forced to rely on contaminated flour, a cruel choice for survival.

Their hope lies in joining their relatives in Egypt, where safety and medical care might finally be within reach. However, the financial burden is enormous: $5,000 per person (which translates to around 4800€) just to cross the border. With the Rafah crossing currently closed, they are doing what they can to prepare for the opportunity to evacuate when it arises. In the meantime, their immediate needs are overwhelming.
Despite everything, the family remains resilient, clinging to hope that someday they can rebuild their lives. They need our support to get through each day and to prepare for a safer future.
How Your Donations Will Be Used
Your generosity will directly impact the lives of Farah and her family. The funds raised will be used for:
• Immediate Needs: Providing nutritious food, clean drinking water, and winter clothing to survive the harsh season.
• Medical Support: Ensuring that Farah’s mother gets access to vital medications and healthcare.
• Basic Living Essentials: Supplying hygiene products and other daily necessities.
• Future Evacuation Plans: Saving towards the costs of crossing the border into Egypt, where safety and other family members await.
I will personally oversee the distribution of these funds, ensuring every donation is used effectively and transparently. Updates will be shared regularly so you can see the difference your support is making.
