Support family of Shaun Bowen with funeral & medical costs

Please consider helping the Bowen family with funeral & medical costs for a life that ended too soon. Nobody should receive the news of stage 4 cancer for their 40th birthday, but Shaun did. He battled hard for almost 2 years with over 225 doctor appointments or days in the hospital until his unfortunate passing on May 15, 2026.

Please find his obituary below:

Shaun Perry Bowen, 41, began his eternal rest on May 15, 2026. Born July 2, 1984, Shaun grew up in Washington State and made the move to Tennessee after graduating high school in 2003. He carried with him honesty, loyalty, and a quiet way of showing up for the people he loved. A resident of Hermitage, Tennessee, he built a simple life that fit him well: unpretentious, grounded, and rich in the everyday moments that matter most.

Shaun always showed a passion and desire to become a member of the law enforcement community. He chose a path of service that matched his character. In 2007 Shaun was hired by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in Nashville. He exuded a glowing sense of pride and professionalism within his 18-year career. His work ethic was strong and his reliability was more than a reputation, it was a promise kept. If Shaun said he would do something, he did it, and he did it without complaint or expecting anything in return.

Those who knew Shaun will remember the steady warmth of his presence: the smile that seemed to arrive before the words, and the humor that made hard days lighter. He loved to make people laugh, whether they were laughing with him or at him, and there was kindness in that. He lived life on his terms and was true to his own spirit.

Shaun treasured time spent with family and friends, and he found joy in the things that brought people together. He loved classic cars and trucks, firearms, and he enjoyed watching baseball games with his brother, Jeff and nephew, Landon. Simple pleasures, well-loved, and made better by good company.

In the quiet spaces he preferred, Shaun left something lasting: the example of a life lived with integrity, the comfort of a dependable spirit, and the simple grace of laughter shared. His absence is heavy, but so is the love he gave, and that love remains.
