I’m creating this fundraiser for my business partner’s family after their 7-year-old child was shot in the Silver Rail Elementary school shooting in Bend, Oregon. Their child is now in critical condition, and the family is focused on being at the hospital while their child fights for their life.

Right now, they are carrying the impossible weight of traveling to and from the hospital, staying near their child, caring for their other child, trying to keep up their household, and missing work during this crisis. In a moment like this, no family should have to worry about how they will manage the practical day-to-day costs that keep piling up while they stay by their child’s side.

Donations will help cover hotels, gas, lost wages, household upkeep, and pet care so the family can focus on what matters most right now: being present for their child and supporting each other through this devastating time.

Marsha, Danielle's mother, will be receiving the funds directly to manage funds for Danielle as she navigates steps forward.
