My name is Ayah Abisourour. I, along with my family, come to you with heavy hearts and a plea for help. A tragedy has struck our humble Amazigh family living in the mountains of Morocco. We urge you to join hands with us in providing much-needed support and prayer to our grieving family as they navigate through this unimaginable ordeal.
The morning after the funeral of a beloved brother and father, Hassan Faquir, while preparing dinner to share with relatives and neighbors to uphold our cherished tradition, the gas tanks in their small kitchen exploded, causing extreme devastation.
The explosion resulted in the tragic loss of beloved family member, Mbarek Faquir. He was blown across the room by the force of the blast and succumbed to his injuries upon impact. Eight other family members...

...were severely injured in the explosion and are currently hospitalized. Six of them are in critical condition; only eating through feeding tubes and three of which are in commas. And the remaining two only sustaining injuries to their hands and faces while trying to rescue the others.
The situation is dire, with medical bills piling up for surgeries, medication, IVs, burn treatments, and other essential needs. The sole caretaker of the family, a kindergarten teacher, is burdened with the responsibility of covering these expenses. Unfortunately, government assistance only covers hospital beds, leaving the family to bear the brunt of all other costs.
The most heartbreaking case is that of a three-year-old boy who urgently needs neurosurgery due to the injury to his head. His mother, in an act of incredible bravery and sacrifice, shielded him from increased harm during the explosion. She suffered insurmountable burn trauma while carrying him out of the house, while her entire body was on fire, to the river nearby to relieve her son of his suffering. Both mother and son are fighting for their lives, with the mother's condition critical and uncertain.
