I am making this GoFundMe to help with memorial service costs for Shakita Shelton and her surviving family . Shakita was a strong woman, She was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2024 and she fought a long hard battle with many obstacles and hardships. A tree fell on her house, Her and her family were homeless for a number of months, she was involved in a car accident, which injured her, her daughter was hit by a car and despite it all she kept fighting. Although She had a lot of hardships she also made a lot of accomplishments. She found her calling in Mental Health Therapy at A Nonprofit Organization called Journey 2 Healing , she got her Masters Degree in Psychology , and she graduated on May 6th, 2024 . She helped a lot of people in her short time here . Every moment had purpose. She kept a smile on her face and She fought to the very end. On January 25th, 2025 at 8:46 am she unfortunately lost her battle at age 39. She was a beautiful, pure, caring, and kindhearted person who saw positivity in everything. She was an amazing mother, sister, daughter, wife, dear friend, and therapist to many. She has 8 children ranging from ages 2 years of age to 20 years of age. She was an inspiration for all those around her. Anybody who had a chance to experience her grace and essence would tell you that she could light up a room with her energy. We miss her so much and would love to put her to rest the proper way that she deserves. We love her so much and she deserves the best service.
