Greetings,
As many of you know, my family’s home was severely damaged in the recent Hurricane Melissa that impacted Jamaica. In just a few hours, the storm took away what we spent years building — not just walls and a roof, but a place filled with love, memories, and comfort. Our home resides in Westmoreland , Jamaica for near 70 years. Seeing our home torn apart was heartbreaking, and like many families hit by the storm, we’re now trying to figure out how to start over.
We’re doing our best to stay strong, but we can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m here — to humbly ask for your help.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping my family rebuild our home. We need to start from scratch and rebuild a home on my family’s land. Even small contributions make a big difference — whether it’s a few dollars, a share of this message, or spreading the word to others who might be able to help. At this time, we are struggling to meet basic needs of food , water, shelter, clothing, etc for my uncle that resides in the home.
This isn’t just about money; it’s about hope. Your kindness gives us strength to keep going and reminds us that we’re not alone.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your support really matters — it does. You can be part of helping a family get back on their feet and turn this painful experience into a story of recovery and gratitude.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening, for caring, and for helping us rebuild not just a home, but a sense of hope and peace.
Thank you,
Maya Williams and Family
