Their Journey
Imagine arriving in a new country after fleeing war, persecution, or disaster—with no home, no income, and no idea where to begin. That is the reality for many refugee and immigrant families who settle in DeKalb County, Georgia. They come seeking safety, but the path to rebuilding their lives is often overwhelming.
Our Mission
Since 2002, Family Heritage Foundation has been a beacon of hope and stability for these families. We walk alongside refugees and at-risk families as they work toward self-sufficiency, independence, and dignity.
We serve as the bridge between survival and stability, providing the care, resources, and community they need to thrive.
What We Do
Through our year-round programs, we meet both immediate and long-term needs:
• Youth Development – helping children grow in confidence and character
• Adult Literacy – empowering parents with English and life skills
• Homelessness Prevention – offering support before families lose their homes
• Emergency Food Assistance & Food Pantry – ensuring no one goes hungry
• Diaper Bank & Essential Supplies – helping struggling families care for their little ones
We also serve at-risk youth and families within DeKalb County who are facing the threat of homelessness.
