Forever Our Fur Babies: Mocha, Princess, and Sassie
There once were three dogs who didn’t just live in a house—they ruled a kingdom. Mocha, Princess, and Sassie weren’t just pets; they were family, the kind of fur babies who knew exactly how to melt your heart with one look, and who somehow always got the last bite of dinner (even when you swore you wouldn’t give in this time).
Mocha, the wise one, had soulful eyes and a quiet presence that brought calm to the room. Princess was just that—royalty in every way, from the way she strutted to the way she demanded belly rubs like a queen receiving tribute. Sassie, true to her name, was the spark: full of spunk, always the first to bark at a squirrel or chase a dream in the backyard.
They were spoiled in the best way—blankets folded just for them, treats always in the pantry, beds in every room. But they gave so much more than they received. Their loyalty was unmatched, their love boundless, their instincts eerily smart. They could sense a bad day before you said a word, and they always knew when you needed a soft head on your lap.
Then came the fire. Sudden, cruel, and unforgiving. And in that heartbreak, three lights went out all at once. The house fell silent in a way it never had before.
The pain is still raw. The beds are empty. The toys lie untouched. But Mocha, Princess, and Sassie are not gone—not really. They are there in the morning sunbeam that filters through the trees. They are in the quiet moments when you think you hear a tail thump or a soft pawstep. They are in every memory, every photo, every piece of your heart they claimed.
They were more than dogs. They were your shadows, your joy, your constant companions. And they will be forever missed—deeply, fiercely, and with a love that doesn’t fade.
Rest well, sweet Mocha, regal Princess, and spirited Sassie. Your kingdom remembers you.
In the early morning hours of April 23rd, my parents home burned down. They lost everything including, and worse of all, their three precious fur babies.
They were not insured, so I am setting this up to try and help them recover. They are in need of everything including a place to live, but we will work on that at a later time.
Thank you to all who can give, even if it is only prayer.
