Support the Families of Fallen Heroes: Lebanese Civil Defence Rescue Workers
On November 14, 2024, tragedy struck in Baalbek, Lebanon, as an Israeli airstrike targeted the Central Civil Defence station, claiming the lives of 15 courageous rescue workers. These heroes dedicated their lives to saving others, often risking their own safety in the face of immense danger. Today, we come together to honor their memory and support their grieving families.

The Heroes We Lost
These brave men were not just rescue workers; they were fathers, husbands, and pillars of their communities. They leave behind families who now face an uncertain future:

Omar Solh, 45, survived by his wife and two children.
Abdel Karim Noun, 54, survived by his wife and six children.
Hussein Mohamad, 50, survived by his wife and six children.
Ali Noun, 52, survived by his wife and three children.
Bilal Raad, 58, survived by his wife and one daughter.
Hassan Wahood, 55, survived by his wife and four children.

Among them was Omar Solh, whose story exemplifies the courage and dedication of these men. Omar, a devoted father and friend, served tirelessly with the Lebanese Civil Defence, bringing light and hope to others even during the darkest times. His final act of bravery—rescuing victims of an airstrike—speaks volumes of his selflessness and commitment.

About the Organizer
My name is Mash S., and I am based in San Jose, California. One of the fallen heroes, Omar Solh, was my cousin. His courage, kindness, and dedication to serving others have deeply inspired me, and I feel a profound responsibility to honor his memory and the memory of his colleagues who made the ultimate sacrifice.

I will personally work with the families of these brave men to ensure that all the funds raised are directly allocated to cover the educational expenses and necessities for their children. This fundraiser is solely dedicated to supporting the families of these fallen heroes, and none of the funds will be used for any other cause.

To maintain full transparency, I will personally cover all fees associated with sending and transferring the money to the families. Additionally, I will share receipts and proof of all transactions on this page to keep you informed of how your generous contributions are making a difference.

Thank you for standing with us and honoring these heroes by helping secure a brighter future for their children.
