Support False Rhythms: A 501(c)(3) Cause

The America Rawks Foundation is proud to announce our first fundraiser to benefit the band False Rhythms.

As chairman and founder of the America Rawks Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, I can think of no other band to better embody what this organization is all about: supporting the composition, production, and performance of original music at the grassroots, community level.

Hailing from Gardnerville, Nevada, False Rhythms has been gracing stages and spreading love and light with their unique brand of original reggae-rock music since 2017. Formed by twin brothers Garret (lead guitar) and Dalton (guitar/vocals) Moore of the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and joined by Austin Hawkins (bass guitar), Chris Schott (keyboards), Robbie Wheeler (drums), and James Markabee (percussion), False Rhythms blends a perfect mix of Cali-style roots rock and reggae.

After their beloved father first put a guitar into their hands, Garret and Dalton grew up playing music together—everything from punk to metal to rock to reggae, the latter being the style of music that really captured their attention and spirit, leading to the formation of False Rhythms. The razor-sharp rhythms of Robbie, Austin, and James provide the perfect backdrop for the Moore brothers to showcase their talents, and the psychedelic synth and keyboard riffs from Chris are the superb finish to this well-oiled machine of reggae rock.

Their live shows are filled with love and light and social commentary as their lyrics explore everything from spiritual awareness to indigenous people’s issues to the devastating consequences of the opioid epidemic in America. In the end, it’s the one-of-a-kind tone and technique of Garret’s lead guitar playing and the joy and love emanating from Dalton as lead vocalist that propels this band into a wonderful and fun experience for any and all. False Rhythms also give a lot back to their community, having donated their talents to and started many, many local fundraisers and community events in the Gardnerville/Reno areas. The America Rawks Foundation is excited to give something back to False Rhythms.

The funds raised will go directly to procuring more time in a recording studio for them to finish the album they are in the midst of recording.

The America Rawks Foundation hopes you’ll join us in supporting this uniquely American reggae rock band.

Every dollar donated will go directly to funding recording for the band AND is tax-deductible for the donors.

Let’s all get these fantastic musicians back into the studio so we can get that new album!

Be sure to check them out on Spotify:
