​Support Faizan’s Fight Against Leukemia

Hi, my name is Md. Fahad Alam, father of a 3.5-year-old son, Faizan, is bravely fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in Bangladesh.

Faizan is a bright, playful, and affectionate little boy who deserves a happy, healthy childhood. But instead of playing outdoors or starting preschool, he’s undergoing painful chemotherapy and regular hospital visits. Since his diagnosis in January 2025, Faizan’s life has been filled with medical procedures, emotional distress, and a fight far too heavy for someone so small.

His family is doing everything they can—but they can’t carry this burden alone anymore. That’s why I’ve stepped in to raise support from here in Australia.

Faizan’s Medical Journey So Far

January 12, 2025 – Diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)

January 16–29, 2025 – Hospitalized at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), began UKALL-2019 Regimen-B chemotherapy

February 17, 2025 – MRD (Minimal Residual Disease) detected at >1.304%

April 27, 2025 – MRD increased to >4.08%, indicating an aggressive and persistent disease

Faizan’s doctors are continuing intensive chemotherapy and monitoring his MRD levels closely. While a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) is not immediately required, it may become essential if his condition does not improve in the coming weeks.

Fundraising Goal: BDT 6,000,000 (~USD $55,000)

We are currently aiming to raise BDT 1,000,000 (~USD $8,500) to cover immediate chemotherapy, testing, and hospital-related costs.

However, since a BMT may be necessary soon—and must often be done quickly—our stretch goal is BDT 6,000,000 (~USD $55,000) to fully prepare for that possibility without delay.

Medications, transfusions, and hospital stays

Travel and care support for Faizan and his family

Potential Bone Marrow Transplant and related expenses

Post-transplant care and recovery, if required

Why We Need to Prepare Now

Doctors have warned that if Faizan’s condition does not improve, a BMT may become urgent. This procedure could cost between BDT 5,000,000–6,000,000, and families in Bangladesh have little time or access to resources when such a decision must be made quickly.

By preparing early, we can ensure that cost is never a barrier to saving Faizan’s life.
