Support Faith's Fight Against Stage 3 Cancer
Donation protected
Community,
It is with a heavy heart that my brother Vincenzo and I are reaching out again to support our Ugandan sister, Faith.
When we were in Uganda in February 2023, we sought treatment for a cyst growing on the back of Faith's neck, which turned out to be cancer. Several rounds of chemo and a round of radiation later, we thought things were resolved until recently, when Faith became tired, ill, and started having pain.
Sparing details, Faith has been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, which seems to have spread to her lymph nodes. Medical care in Uganda is poor. There are no scans, and even having a biopsy meant the tissue sample had to be sent 6 hours away to Kampala.
Faith is very ill. She is septic and needs immediate care. Medical care is so very different than care here in the USA. Faith is on her way to Kampala, the capital, where we hope she will be admitted to the hospital and start treatment immediately. That she was sent home with pain meds and an antibiotic was helpful but also insane. She needs to be admitted to a hospital for immediate acute treatment.
Here's the thing; they will not even admit her without being paid upfront.
Time is of the essence. We need our community and our communities' communities to please support Faith's treatment.
I am fortunate that I have some medical professionals advising me on the USA side, and they are helping as best they can to make sure she will be treated accordingly and to keep us all in the loop of what the prognosis is.
Please consider contributing and please share this fundraiser far and wide so we can support Faith. It takes a village, and we very much need all of your villages.
In Gratitude,
Anjahni and Vincenzo
