But, instead, when Hermelindo arrived at the appointment, he was detained by ICE. This beautiful family has been in the United States for many years. Hermelindo works in construction and is a choir leader in his church. He loves to take his children to the park to play. He and Fabiola have worked hard to build a life here, grounded in the value of showing up for your neighbor. Now, we have an opportunity to show up for them.
