My name is Ezra Bruck, and I am raising funds to pursue a Master’s in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. I've lived in Chicago for the last 17 years; it's where I grew up and became the person I am today, and after nearly 2 decades of making coffee, I've decided it's time for me to challenge myself to give and get more out of life. I want to focus my energy on giving back, specifically to this city, that has given me so much. For the past three years, I’ve had the honor of serving my customers, friends and family here at the Cboe cafe, and some of you have been on this journey with me since 2017! Your faces have brightened my days and your support has inspired me to take this next step.
I chose Loyola because I want to stay rooted in Chicago and its powerful history and culture of community organizing. The program’s commitment to social justice and community engagement aligns perfectly with my values and goals. While I am taking out loans to cover part of my education, I am seeking additional support to help with tuition and the cost of books. Every contribution will help me focus on my studies and continue serving those who need it most.
Hearing from friends, colleagues, and community members that they believe in me has given me the confidence to start this new chapter. Your support will not only help me achieve my dream of becoming a therapist, it will also allow me to bring more stability to my life and make a lasting impact in Chicago. Thank you for believing in me and for helping me give back to the community that means so much to me.
