On Sunday, February 22, a morning that started like any other (getting ready for church) turned into every parent's worst nightmare for our dear friends Caleb and Holly. Their 4-year-old son Ezra found his way to an area thought unreachable, and in an instant, the unthinkable happened. Ezra accidentally discharged a firearm and suffered a gunshot wound to the side of his head.
By the grace of God, the bullet grazed the very edge of his skull just above his eyebrow. He was airlifted by helicopter to Tampa General Hospital where he spent the next week fighting back. The doctors called it a miracle and Ezra is recovering and doing better every day, praise God!
Ezra is such a sweet and cheerful boy. He loves playing with his dragon toys, laughing with his mom and dad, and asking anyone around him (he's very confident lol) to push him on the swing set.
Caleb and Holly are the kind of people who would never ask for help, but this is exactly why their community needs to show up for them. The helicopter flight alone costs $30,000. The hospital bills are still coming in. No family should have to face that financial mountain while also holding their child's hand through recovery.
Every dollar you give goes directly to helping Ezra's family get back on their feet. If you can't give, please share... it costs nothing and means everything.
