My baby brother Ezra is currently in the hospital in the Los Angeles area. While out jogging he suddenly collapsed. Fortunately he was able to make it to the hospital in time, but he is not in good health.

Cardiologist have found a tear in his heart valve, and may have to undergo open heart surgery.

We all know Ezra as sort of little brother of the Oakland, Tucson, and San Francisco communities. You may recognize him from working doors at bars in Oakland and San Francisco. Skate parks all over the bay, or from one of the many music projects he’s been involved in over the years. He’s always there to help a person in need. Even if he can’t offer much, he can offer a smile or a dumb joke.

Ezra is a people person, and has been involved in tons of community mural projects. Has advocated for lgbtq rights, and has used his fighting spirit to defend the community.

I hope we can all come together and support him through this.
