Sam is raising funds for Ezra Skwarka, their roommate, after a life-changing medical emergency. On July 25, 2026, Ezra was admitted to the emergency room with Cauda Equina syndrome. Because of this, Ezra has been left paralyzed from the waist down and is now learning how to do things like stand and walk again. This rare syndrome changed daily life in an instant. Their current apartment is not set up for wheelchair access, a walk-in shower, or many of the basic features Ezra now needs to live safely and comfortably.
The hope is that these funds will help us relocate to an accessible home, purchase adaptive driving equipment, and purchase medical equipment. Ezra has not lost hope even in the face of so much uncertainty, and that courage has been deeply inspiring. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, would mean so much.
Please help Ezra build a safer, more accessible life and continue fighting for recovery with dignity, comfort, and independence.
