Support for Ezra Caudell and Family

Ezra Caudell and his family are facing an incredibly difficult time after Ezra was involved in a catastrophic accident during the Philadelphia Classic Cycling Road race. Ezra suffered major trauma to his lungs and head and is currently in the ICU at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia hospital, where he is receiving wonderful care from the doctors and medical team. The Caudells had recently moved to Germany to support Ezra’s career goals, but Georgia has always been home. Now, while Ezra remains in intensive care and works toward stability, his parents and sister have had to fly in from Germany at a moment’s notice to be by his side.

Being so far from home has added another layer of stress to an already heartbreaking situation. Ezra’s family is facing hotel stays, meals away from home, travel costs, medical bills, and many unforeseen expenses as they focus on supporting Ezra through what will likely be a long recovery. Friends of the family are asking the cycling community, along with friends, family, and anyone moved to help, to come alongside the Caudells during this time. Cyclists understand how quickly accidents can happen and how heavy the burden of recovery can be. The family has also been flooded with love and support from Ezra’s team, Modern Adventure Pro Cycling, including coaches, support staff, and team members, and that kindness has meant so much during these overwhelming days. It truly takes a village, and every share, donation, and prayer will help lift some of the weight from Ezra and his family as they hope to bring him back to Georgia soon so he can witness the love surrounding him.
