Support expectant parents navigating stillbirth

Hi my name is Markitta, and I am creating this post on behalf of my sister Shanelle and Brother In Love Billy.

On April 16, 2022, Zylill Billy Whitted came into this world sleeping at just 36 weeks. After a routine doctor’s appointment, Billy and Shanelle learned the news that no expecting parent wants to hear; doctors couldn't find a heartbeat. So, after a lengthy induction, Zylill was delivered surrounded by family and love at 12:07 pm, weighing just 4lbs 9oz and 18 inches long. With perfect tiny fingers and toes, and a head full of hair, Zylill spent 24 hours with his loving parents, who were soaking in his presence before saying their final goodbyes.

Just one week prior, both families came together to celebrate Zylill in a baby shower fit for the little king that he was. The celebration of his pending arrival was full of so much love and support. As we navigate this traumatic time while attending to Shanelle and Billy in the aftermath of pregnancy loss, we're asking for family & friend support. This young couple is navigating funeral costs, medical bills associated with the delivery, and grief and will require ongoing resources to help them with this tragic transition.
