Hello, my name is Khaled.
I am a Queer BPOC activist from Tunisia, and my life’s work has been rooted in the struggle for justice, human rights, and liberation for LGBTQ+ communities and marginalized people. Doing this work in a context shaped by colonial legacies, authoritarianism, and systemic violence has come at great personal risk. Because of my activism and my identity, I was forced to leave my home country and seek safety in Germany.
Migration, however, is not the end of the struggle, it is shaped by borders, bureaucracy, and racial capitalism. Here in Germany, I continue to face significant legal battles and precarious living conditions that make stability very difficult to secure. The systems that criminalize, exclude, and exploit people like me are not accidental, they are part of the ongoing colonial order that devalues queer and racialized lives.
Why I am asking for solidarity:
I am calling on community support to help cover urgent costs connected to survival and resistance in this context:
Legal Expenses: €4,000 to cover residency applications, lawyer fees, and court costs.
Rent & Living Expenses: €6,000 to cover housing, insurance, food, and transport as I work to stabilize my life.
The total amount I need to raise is €10,000. Your contribution is not charity, it is solidarity in the face of systemic injustice. Every donation, no matter the size, helps carve out space for safety, dignity, and continued resistance.
