My name is Excel R. Newton! I’m a proud father to my beautiful daughter, Morgan Gabrielle and she is the reason I refuse to give up, no matter how hard life gets. I’m a musician, a family man, and someone who has always tried to pour love, faith, and positivity into others. Today, I’m the one in need of that same love and support. Life changed drastically when my health began to decline. I now face the exhausting reality of dialysis treatments multiple times every week while also living with significant vision loss that has left me half blind. Each day brings physical challenges most people never see the fatigue, the pain, the emotional weight of trying to stay strong while your body feels like it’s fighting against you. But even in the middle of these battles, I keep showing up as a father, as a man of faith, and as someone determined to keep the right mindset. My daughter looks to me for strength, and that keeps me pushing forward when I feel like I have nothing left in the tank. I refuse to let my circumstances define my spirit. The truth is, this journey has created an overwhelming financial burden. Between ongoing treatments, transportation to dialysis, daily living needs, and vital medications and medical necessities that are not fully covered by insurance, the costs continue to grow faster than I can keep up with while managing my health.
