Emergency Relief for Ewarton, Jamaica After Hurricane Melissa

Hello, my name is Remi Black. My mother and family are from Ewarton, Jamaica, a place that holds a deep and personal meaning to me. It’s more than just a town, it’s where I once lived, where I grew up, and where I learned some of the most important lessons about community, strength, love, and resilience.

Ewarton is a beautiful place filled with red earth, fresh fruit trees, and hard-working people who support one another. Unfortunately, Hurricane Melissa has caused devastating damage to the community. Families have lost clothing, food, and basic necessities. Homes have been damaged and an elder care home in the area has also been significantly affected.

I am raising funds to provide direct help to the people in Ewarton by sending barrels of essential items, including:

• Clothing and shoes

• Toiletries and hygiene products

• Non-perishable food and baby items

• Supplies to support the affected elder care home

• Help toward shipping and delivery costs

This is a community, wide impact, so every contribution, no matter the amount, will help bring relief, stability, and dignity back to people who need it most right now.
