On March 21st, Ev was outside when she slipped on some rocks, fell, and hit her head. Right away, she told Sara and the family that she couldn’t feel her legs, so they immediately called an ambulance. At the hospital, an MRI revealed a fracture in her neck and confirmed a severe spinal injury. Thankfully, it is not a complete sever.

Ev is currently in the ICU, where she’ll likely remain for the next five days. She has already begun meeting with physical therapists as part of her recovery. At this time, she is able to move her arms but still cannot feel anything below her chest. The full outcome is still unknown.

In addition to her current hospital stay, Ev will have a long recovery with physical therapy and visits.
