Hello, my name is Melissa. I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of someone I hold near and dear to my heart. Earlier this week, I was given the devastating news that my Godmother, Evette, was found unresponsive. Medics were called, and she was rushed to the University of Chicago, where she is being cared for in the ICU. We are hopeful and praying very hard, but things aren't looking too good. Evette has 4 children: John, Genaro, Jessica, and Erica. I'm hoping we can come together and help alleviate any financial stress they are dealing with as they soon may have to face a very difficult decision. Times like these are never easy. To know Evette is to love her, and to see her in this state is heartbreaking, to say the least. The silence is sad because if you knew her, you know. No gift is too small. A little goes a long way.
