Hey yall. I’m a second year Vocal Performance major at SJSUs School of Music. I wanted to say that I have been accepted by La Musica Lirica, International Opera Festival for singers, pianists and conductors. This program takes place in Novafeltria, Italy, and runs from June 20th and to July 25th, 2026. The program will allow me to work with nationally and internationally recognized faculty.
I am in the Young Artist division and have been given the role of Doralba in L’impresario in Angustie. The opera production is fully staged and performed with the professional Symphony Orchestra from Ravenna, Italy. In addition to rehearsing the opera, during the first four weeks all participants will receive up to 20 hours of Italian lessons per week, two half hour coaching’s with Rossini Opera Festival coaches, two forty-five-minute voice lessons and several master classes offered during the fifth week. The overall cost of the five-week program is over $8,000, which includes tuition, transportation, room and board.
