It's been a long journey to get to this point and the time has finally come: I will be having top surgery on Jan 31, 2022! <3 <3 <3 

 

Recovery can be long and intense, especially since I have other chronic health issues that sometimes slow down or impede healing (research Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and its comorbidities for more info). For at least the first two months, I am expecting my energy levels to be low, to have limited mobility and to have weight restrictions on how much I can carry. It’ll be a good reminder for me to slow down which is particularly difficult for me. HALP!

 

I am looking for support with costs associated with the procedure itself, post-op care (dog walks, food/meals, etc.), ensuring bills and rent are paid, household tasks (dishes, laundry, light cleaning, etc), and of course connecting with vaccinated friends and chosen family.

 

It’s a stretch for me to ask for support in this way. No shame or pressure if these ways of support don’t make sense for you. 

 

I appreciate you all so much and I’m really glad to get to share this news and excitement with you. It means the world to me that you're here, witness my journey to self-actualization.
