Supporting Recovery, Restoring Hope at Everett Recovery Café

For hundreds of people in Snohomish County, Everett Recovery Café is more than a building—it’s a lifeline. It’s a place where people recovering from housing insecurity, addiction, and mental health challenges find safety, connection, and hope when they have nowhere else to turn.

For 10 years, Everett Recovery Café has served as a stable community hub for those who have experienced trauma of all kinds. As with many nonprofits, the Cafe has been impacted by recent losses of Federal and State funding. In 2023, we received $1,114,940 in government funding, fostering the 792 members we served that year with peer support, housing and transportation vouchers, warm meals, and a place where they could find and grow in community.

In 2025, our government funding was reduced to $821,861, forcing us to make difficult decisions—cutting staff hours, reducing voucher support, and stretching every dollar as far as possible. In contrast to these cutbacks, the need in our community continues to grow. As we enter 2026, Everett Recovery Café is facing a $100,000 funding gap. Without community support, we will be forced to reduce our hours and services—meaning fewer meals, fewer peer support groups, and fewer safe days for people relying on us.

Please consider giving today and please share our story. Together, we can ensure recovery support remains available for hundreds of our neighbors who depend on us.
