As most of you know, my father, Everett English, had a massive stroke on October 8, 2024. He has been hospitalized since that day. He has come a long way, but because of Medicare guidelines, he cannot continue his stay much longer, and he is in need of more rehab due to the acute brain injury it has caused.

There is a rehab called NeuroRestorative in Tyler that says they can help him overcome these challenges he is facing, but a steep cost and again, Medicare guidelines say they do not pay for neurological rehab. Long story short, what would normally cost $1,700 a day, they have agreed to a rate of $1,200 a day, and the average stay is 14 days, which is a total of $16,800.
