Hope and Healing for Baby Everett

My name is Lisa Berkheimer. I am mom to Christina & bonus mom to Tony. I’m Glamma to Everett and Beckett, my grandsons from Christina & Tony.

Everett was born on 11/11/25 and for the first five weeks of his life, he was a happy little boy with a sweet disposition. Shortly before Christmas, Everett lost the use of both of his arms and was admitted to the hospital. The hypotonia in his arms was caused by a tumor.
Everett underwent surgery on December 26, 2025 to remove the tumor from his cervical spine. This is a very rare occurrence to find on a six week old baby, no doctor we encountered had seen this before. The biopsy results brought devastating news: Everett had a Malignant Extrarenal Rhabdoid Tumor, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Everett is scheduled to have a PET Scan, MRI of his Brain and Spine and a spinal tap within the next few days.

Everett’s parents, Tony and Christina, are doing everything they can to support him. Tony has been working with his current company since November 2024, but was just hired on full-time in December 2025 and has already used all of his paid time off due to Everett’s surgery. Christina is currently on unpaid maternity leave and is unsure when she will be able to return to work because of Everett’s illness. The family is also hoping to travel north to Erie, PA, so Everett can meet loved ones he hasnt met yet. Everett also has an older brother, Beckett, who is three years old and loves him very much.

Since his surgery, Everett has lost the use of his left arm. He has also not regained strength in his neck yet and is unable to lift his head as a typical now 2 month old. He has just started physical therapy. He has also been struggling to eat, which means he will need to see a digestive specialist to help him gain weight. He has faced many challenges since his surgery.

The funds raised will go directly toward medical bills, travel expenses, and helping Everett’s family manage the financial strain of missed work. Any support means the world to Everett and his family as they face this difficult journey together. Your kindness and generosity will help give Everett the best chance at healing and meeting the family who loves him so much.
