Hi everyone, My name is Charlotte, and I’m Carrie’s oldest daughter. I’m sharing our story because our family’s life changed suddenly, and we need all the love, prayers, and support we can get for my little sister, Evelyn. A few weeks ago, what seemed like a chronic cough led to testing at Boston Children’s Hospital, where we received devastating news: my 13-year-old sister has cancer. Evelyn was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma called Primary Mediastinal B-cell Lymphoma. Over the next five months, Evelyn will undergo chemotherapy and spend weeks at a time in and out of the hospital. While there are many unknowns, we know this road will be incredibly difficult. If you know Evelyn, you know she is so much more than her diagnosis. She loves softball, basketball, making people laugh, and spending time with people she loves. One of her biggest goals right now is to be strong enough to walk across the stage at her 8th grade graduation. My mom, Carrie, is a single mother raising four daughters and has had to step away from work to stay by Evelyn’s side through treatments, hospital stays, and procedures. We created this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden of medical costs, travel, meals, and everyday expenses so my mom can focus on what matters most — being there for Evelyn. If you’re able to donate, share this fundraiser, or keep Evelyn in your prayers, our family would be beyond grateful. Thank you for standing with Evelyn as she begins this fight. We truly believe that with faith, strength, and support, she can get through this.
