My sister and I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of someone incredibly dear to us, our lifelong friend, Evelyn. We’ve known Evelyn for nearly 40 years, and at this point, she’s more like a sister than a friend.

A few weeks ago, we learned the devastating news that Evelyn was diagnosed with stage 3 Mantle Cell Lymphoma, a rare and very aggressive form of cancer. But if you know Evelyn, you know she’s a fighter, and she’s facing this battle with the same courage, humor, and grace that she’s brought into all of our lives.

Evelyn is the kind of person who lights up a room. She’s always laughing, cracking jokes, and doing her best to lift your spirits, even now, in the midst of this unimaginable challenge. That’s just who she is: caring, loyal, and full of life.

This week, Evelyn began her first round of chemotherapy. The road ahead will be long and difficult, emotionally, physically, and financially. We want her to be able to focus solely on healing and not have to carry the heavy burden of medical bills and expenses on her shoulders.
