Backing Bliss: Road to the World University Games

After competing internationally for two years for Team USA with a silver medal finish at the 2023 Under-20 Pan-American Games in Puerto Rico and a bronze medal finish at the 2024 Under-20 World Games, I was approached and selected to compete for Team USA in the World University Games in Dusseldorf, Germany. This came as an unexpected but fortunate surprise. However, my university and I were not prepared for the costs associated with this unique opportunity for me to represent my country.

I have had an excellent sophomore year at Bucknell University. I defended my title at our Patriot League meet, finished first at NCAA East Regionals with a PR of 57.09 meters (187 ft 3in), and finally finished Second-Team All-American, placing 12th at the NCAA National Championships. I will compete on July 19th-26th, then fly directly to Oregon to compete in the Toyota Nationals from July 31st-Aug 6th. Anything you are willing to donate in support so that I can represent the USA at the University Games is much appreciated.
