On January 28, 9-year-old Evelie suffered a devastating neurological emergency during gymnastics practice. She underwent an emergency craniotomy to relive dangerous swelling and pressure on her brain before being life flighted to Portland for lifesaving care.
In the weeks past Evelie underwent a 12-hour surgery to remove a recurring brain tumor. While her recovery has been difficult her fighting spirit remained unshaken.
This is the latest update:
Doctors have discovered an infection in her brain, despite her showing very few signs of illness. This of course meant undergoing another surgery to remove her bone flap and replace it using titanium material. This set back means her planned transfer to Seattle's Children's Hospital for immediate radiation and chemotherapy will be delayed until she has recovered enough from this surgery.
The cost of having critically ill child is difficult and a definite strain, any donation will be appreciated!
Please keep Evelie, her parents Kyle and Sam, her family and the entire medical team in your prayers.
AND DONATE if you can!!! ALL proceeds go directly to the family.
