My name is Rosa and I’m doing this GoFundMe for my sister Evelia and brother in law Mark.

Thursday morning (11/13/25) Evelia’s and Mark’s RV went up in flames due to an exposed wire that landed in a puddle of water and sparked. Due to weather that day, the wire snapped from the electric pole causing it to be exposed and landing in a puddle of water that surrounded the RV. Mark quickly ran inside to rescue both of his wives emotional support dogs Simba and Nala. These weren’t just any dogs let alone pets, they were her fur babies. Shortly after Simba’s birth the mama passed. The bond they all developed was unimaginable. As for Nala, she was rescued and became apart of their little family. Unfortunately, Mark was unable to locate the dogs and rescue them from the fire. He searched from front to back of that RV all while it was in flames. Mark is currently suffering severe burns to his head and whole right side of his body. Hours after the fire, our mother went digging trying to locate Simba and Nala. She was able to locate one of the dogs body. Due to the severity of the fire, we are unsure which fur baby it is. Our mother is also eagerly searching for Evelia’s son Elio who she lost 3 years ago and was her only child. We have yet to find him and his urn. Due to this traumatic tragedy, both have lost everything. The only things they are left with are the clothes Evelia was wearing that day. At this moment we would like to ask family, friends and the public for help with donations. All proceeds will be going to medical bills, clothing, food and shelter once discharged from the hospital. We would also like to ask that you include Evelia and Mark in your prayers as they recover and move forward from this devastating loss.
