Support Eva’s Fight

Hi Everyone,

My name is Tomia and I am reaching out to ask for help for a close friend/sister of mine that I know won’t ask herself. Eva is a widowed, Autism warrior mom, who just sent her only son Joshuah off to college. Eva put all of her resources into getting Joshuah set up at school. Joshuah defied many odds to get into college and Eva is so proud. After sending him off and becoming an empty nester, she took some time to go get her checkups and focus on her own well-being. Unfortunately after a recent mammogram, Eva received the worst news. She has Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. For her, the worst part of this news was finding a way to tell Joshuah. Yesterday, she mustered the strength to tell him. Today she allows me to tell you.

This news obviously brings so much anxiety to Joshuah, Eva, and everyone who knows and loves her. I know, having lost my own brother Wesley to cancer, that Eva will have a long road ahead. I’ve asked her to please TRY to focus only on her physical recovery and not finances, but we know that is nearly impossible. This is about to be the biggest battle physically, financially, and emotionally. Eva will need to cover medical costs, rent, bills, and still help support Joshuah.

HOW YOU CAN HELP…
By contributing to this fundraising campaign, you can make a huge difference in Eva’s confidence and ability to focus on the physical fight. Your donations, regardless of the amount, will enable Eva to access critical medical care, pay rent and bills, keep her son in school, and have some sort of financial support during a time where she will obviously be missing work. Together, we can and should help alleviate the financial burden she faces and allow her to focus on healing.

My prayer is that we can share this campaign across platforms, reach out to our networks, and spread the word. Eva is one of the most caring souls I’ve ever come across and she deserves the love and support that she so easily gives to others. Any contribution will help in more ways than you can imagine! I gave her a charm today that says “friends don’t let friends fight cancer alone.” Let’s show Eva that she isn’t alone.

Love you guys!
