Support Evan’s Leukemia Battle!
Donation protected
Hi everyone! We are here to start a new GoFundMe for Evan Hayes. Unexpectedly and sadly, they were given the news that Evan has once again relapsed. Evan is the 13-year-old son of one of our best friends who was first diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on January 23, 2017. He went through 3 and 1/2 years of treatment. He relapsed, for the first time, 4 months after completing treatment on September 9, 2020. He then underwent more chemo, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant. At his year mark post-transplant, his bone marrow biopsy showed Leukemia once again, meaning he had relapsed for the second time on March 24, 2022. Evan then had Car T cell therapy that was successful. The first week of May he had his 2-year follow-up and his labs looked great. Evan was doing well until some medical problems arose the last week of May, just a few weeks after everything had looked so good, in which they were told he had once again relapsed. Evan is currently at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, but due to his treatment history and an aggressive genetic mutation, there is nothing more that really can be done there. Once Evan is stable and ready he will be transferred to another facility, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia unless something changes, to join a clinical trial for treatment.
Stephanie, Evan's mom, hasn’t left his side since being admitted on May 30th and due to an extended stay in the hospital during his treatment, his mother will have to remain off work for an unknown amount of time. This family has been so blessed with the help of so many people over the past 7 years, but here they are once again and they need all of our help! Stephanie has two other children that she provides for as well as Evan! We know Evan is strong and can win this battle again! Please help this sweet family who is so dear to us! Any help is much appreciated and even if you can’t give a monetary donation please lift them up in your prayers!
