I’m Evan Bartholomew, a musician, producer, and touring artist for over 25 years under the name Bluetech (https://www.bluetechonline.com/).
Despite a successful career, I’ve felt something was missing—true purpose. I want to make music with meaning that truly touches people in a tangible way that supports healing and connection.
I've written a much more indepth overview of my vision here if you want to follow along - https://evanbluetech.substack.com/p/music-for-healing
The most profound moments of my life as a musician have been connecting with people during life’s most pivotal events: guiding individuals through the end of life with my music, and supporting parents during the birth of their children. These experiences inspired me to take my music beyond performance—to bring comfort, healing, and presence directly to those in need.
I am now training to become a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP) through the *Music for Healing and Transition Program *(https://www.mhtp.org/).
CMPs provide live, bedside music to support a patient’s emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being. This is the first step toward my dream of playing music with compassion and intention, making a real difference in people’s lives.
I am seeking support to fund my education—tuition, books, and supplies—to grow as a healer and musician. Your contribution will help me bring comfort, peace, and healing to those who need it most.
Thank you for helping me turn music into a force for care and connection.
Current ask covers tuition for the MHTP program and certification as a Deep Listening facilitator - https://www.deeplistening.rpi.edu/training/teaching-certification/
I will also need to purchase a portable digital piano which can be moved from room to room when working with patients.
Any additional funds raised will be used to cover living expenses so I can focus more deeply on school and training.
